Off Stage
It's not just about performing, we have a wide range of backstage and front of house activities, including:
Front of House and Bar Volunteers
We aim to open our members' bar whenever we have a performance, reading or social event to add to our members' and guests' enjoyment. The bar (and our box office for our own shows) is staffed entirely by our team of front of house (FOH) volunteers, who enjoy the chance to meet and chat with our audiences, and to see our wide range of theatre for free.
We always welcome new members to the FOH team, and will provide the familiarisation necessary. To join our team of volunteers or for more information please e-mail foh@networktheatre.org. You will need to become a member of the company.
Backstage Team
We have an active backstage team supporting our productions and venue, covering those things without which productions could not happen. This includes lighting, sound, set design and build, scenic painting, stage management, props, costumes, makeup etc. We welcome new members of the team, whether you have experience of any or all of these areas, or are keen to learn more.

Maintenance and Clean-Up Days

We need to carry out regular maintenance at the theatre to keep it going, so we schedule a number of working days each year. I'm hoping that you will be able to come along on the day to help out. It need not be all day, even a few hours would help - we start from 10am; and some of us may well go out for a meal in the evening afterwards.
The work usually includes clearing out the unwanted stuff that seems to breed backstage, tidying up what's left, giving the place a good clean up, decorating and maintenance of the premises, and maintenance of the various technical systems.
